Audi Shawnee Mission Tencap League is Kansas City’s Interclub League
The Audi Shawnee Mission Tencap League was founded over 40 years ago in 1984 to provide well-organized INTERCLUB play for club members. The League offers a team format; a social opportunity for friends to come together and enjoy the fun of competing together for their club. Refreshments and socializing is an important part of it all. Originally a Summer League, there is now year-round play tennis play, which supports club staffs’ and Tencap League players’ desire for interclub play throughout the year. And the NEW sport on the block is Pickleball!
Tencap League Founders, Sid Kanter (Homestead) and Kirkland Gates (Carriage), worked very hard to establish a League that would create a community for racquet sports among area clubs. Kirkland is still involved. It is his initiative that is making interclub pickleball a new opportunity that club members can enjoy.
